Our Story

Our Story: A Woodbridge Transportation Company Built Around Patient Needs

CECI Medical Transport began in March 2022 with a simple observation: families in Woodbridge and Prince William County were struggling to find rides that were reliable, respectful, and equipped for patients who cannot sit in an ordinary car. Taxis and rideshares cannot safely handle a wheelchair or a stretcher, and rides arranged through other channels too often ran late or arrived without warning. We started CECI to close that gap with a service that treats every trip as part of the patient’s care.

Since then, we have grown one trip at a time, carrying patients to hospital discharges, dialysis schedules, specialist visits, and rehab appointments, and earning the trust of families, case managers, and facility staff along the way. Much of our work now comes from families and care teams who booked once and came back.

Every week our drivers travel I-95, Route 1 (Jefferson Davis Highway), Prince William Parkway, Route 123, and Fairfax County Parkway. We plan around local traffic patterns and appointment timing so patients can arrive prepared rather than rushed.

Local roads. Local facilities. Practical planning.

Trained, Background-Checked, and Genuinely Caring Drivers

Our drivers are the face of CECI, and the reason families call us again. Every driver is background-checked and trained in safe patient handling, wheelchair and stretcher securement, transfers, and First Aid. We hire for patience as much as for skill, because a rushed transfer is an unsafe transfer.

On the road, our drivers know the entrances, drop-off zones, and check-in points at the hospitals and clinics we visit most, and they stay with the patient until they are handed off to the care team.

Our Vehicles and Safety Standards

Our fleet includes wheelchair-accessible vehicles equipped with lifts or ramps and proper securement systems, along with vehicles suited to stretcher transport. Vehicles are cleaned and inspected regularly, and we match the vehicle to the patient rather than the other way around.

When you book, we ask about mobility level, equipment, stairs at the pickup and drop-off, and any special needs, so the right vehicle and level of assistance can be planned for the trip.
